Course Description: Investigates current trends in sustainable building technology. Explores the practicalities of resource planning, materials usage, and building techniques to optimize building performance and maximize safety, comfort, and economic investment. Features how to assess heating and lighting equipment, and energy sourcing and utilization in buildings, to identify economic cost-savings opportunities. Laboratory time shall be dedicated to exploring real world strategies for sustainability in the 21st century for students to select a Challenge Project. Corequisite: CMT 226L. [SP]
