SUMMARY
Administers and coordinates all student services programs of the college by performing the following duties personally and through subordinates. Serves as a member of the executive team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Formulates and develops student services policies and administrative procedures.

Provides leadership for all student services programs including; but not limited to: recruitment, enrollment services, student records, financial assistance, advising, special needs services, student activities, exit assessment, graduation, and marketing.

Provides for strategic long range planning for the student services areas, utilizing continuous improvement principles and ensuring staff participation in planning process.

Oversees the Marketing Department in the development and production of college catalog and student handbook and oversees advertising and promotional activities.

Ensures the completion of a variety of Federal, State and Institutional reports and surveys.

Administers student conduct programs and resulting disciplinary actions.

Develops and administers the student services budget.

Collaborates with learning services in ensuring for effective educational advising for all degree and certificate seeking students.

Coordinates all aspects of end of term processing and annual graduation.

Provides support and guidance for student leadership and other student organizations of the college. Serves on Executive Team, College Councils and other institutional committees as assigned.

Assists with the College's ongoing assessment and accreditation process.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises personnel and functions for the following: Customer service, assessment (incoming and post experience), student life, marketing, and clerical support for the area. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Master's Degree in Student Services Administration, Student Development, Community College Administration or a closely related field. Minimum of three years experience in student services administration.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to business groups, public groups, and/or civic organizations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with non verbal symbolism (formulas, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
