SUMMARY
Provides excellent customer service that empowers students to succeed in fulfilling their educational objectives; provides enrollment services which include general information, enrollment, registration, financial aid, and student records; and effectively represents the College to visitors and outside entities for information and recruitment, focusing efforts on student success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Plans, prepares, presents information and recruitment s and activities at local high schools and elsewhere as requested.

Assists with student retention and success activities.

Provides overview of programs and services available through Klamath Community College.

Educates students regarding accessing WEB information and services related to enrollment, financial aid, academic advising and records.

Ascertains new and undeclared student's educational objectives.

Explains the various options and programs available at KCC including: transfer programs, certificate programs and degree programs for new and undeclared students.

Informs new and undeclared students regarding college admission requirements and assessment processes.

Informs and educates new and undeclared students regarding existing financial aid system and ensures students are familiarized with financial aid responsibilities upon their entrance and exit from Klamath Community College.

Enters admissions information, enrollment data and confidential student records into the computer system using established procedures.

Answers incoming calls, takes messages, responds to general inquiries and/or directs calls to appropriate staff for assistance.

By phone or in person, assists students in completing required forms and answers related questions.

Greets visitors and directs them to appropriate service area.

Provides backup support for front office receptionist clerk.

Ensures all registration forms are filled out accurately and completely.

Abides by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act regarding student records.

Provides new student orientation and new student assessment support.

Completes graduation check and degree audits as necessary.

Assists in the development and dissemination of marketing materials including brochures, media material and Klamath Community College catalog.

Provides training and support to various internal and external constituencies.

Performs general clerical services as needed, including general data input, filing and maintaining supply of forms, information, college schedules, etc.

Participates on College committees, councils and in the accreditation activities of the college.

QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrable understanding of issues confronting new or undeclared students. Ability to self direct and prioritize with minimal direction. Must have excellent computer word processing and data entry skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires an Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree is preferred, in an area related to the duties of the position and a minimum of two years of recent successful experience working with the public.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must possess excellent written and oral skills.
