The Klamath Community College Board of Trustees is happy to announce that they have reached a tentative agreement with Gerald Hamilton to serve as President of the College through June 2010.
The Board, along with a screening committee made up of community members and College faculty and staff members, reviewed applications from numerous well-qualified individuals from around the country. During this review, it became obvious that Gerald Hamilton, the current Klamath Community College Interim President, met all of the desired qualifications.
Members of the Klamath Falls community were surveyed to determine their vision of the key attributes needed for the president of Klamath Community College. These attributes include:
- knowledge of the Klamath Basin
- knowledge of the day-to-day College operations
- knowledge of curriculum
- knowledge of financial issues
- knowledge of local businesses
- the ability to build and maintain the confidence and trust of the community, as well as College faculty and staff.
The Board believes that Mr. Hamilton fulfills these attributes very well. It is very pleased that Mr. Hamilton has agreed to remain at Klamath Community College for the next two years.
