Klamath Community College now offers an Income Tax Preparation Course.

This course covers preparation of federal individual and sole proprietorship income tax returns and meets the statutory educational requirements for those wishing to be licensed income tax preparers in Oregon. This course will also cover Oregon Tax Laws, Oregon Tax Practitioners Law, and Code of Professional Conduct.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 80 classroom hours of instruction in basic income tax law and return preparation
• Upon successful completion of instruction a “Certification of Education Session Attendance” will be issued.
• 75% or better on the tax preparers examination administered by the State.
