      <![CDATA[<b><span style="color:Blue">9-Month Teaching Faculty</span></b><p>Klamath Community College just received State approval to offer new programs in Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, and Construction Management Technology.
Two state-of-the-art buildings are currently under construction to house these new programs.  The Career Technical Center will house classrooms and labs for automotive, diesel, and construction management programs.  
<p>
It is a pleasure that KCC announces the recruitment of qualified candidates to fill the following faculty positions to assist in new program implementation and provide program course instruction beginning Academic Year 2010-2011.

    <title>Practical Nursing Instructor</title>
    <description>
      <![CDATA[<p>This is a 9-month teaching position (174 days).
  <p>
  Primarily responsible for organizing and carrying out structured learning processes for students in Practical Nursing program.  In addition, instructors participate in the full range of professional and college-related activities including student advising, curriculum development, professional growth, departmental and college-wide meetings, committee activity, and community involvement.
  <p>
  Plans and teaches practical nursing classes, labs, and clinicals as assigned.
  <p>
  Provides direct supervision and evaluation of students as they perform in lab or deliver patient care in clinical facility.
  <p>
  <b>QUALIFICATIONS</b>
  <p>
  Current Oregon R.N. license (or Oregon RN license by hire date) required.<br>
  Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse students, staff, and community members;
  <p>
  <b>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</b>
  <p>
  Bachelor's degree in nursing required, or exception as allowed by Oregon State Board of Nursing OAR Division 21 rules. 
  <p>
  Master's degree in nursing preferred. 
  <p>
  Minimum of three years' full-time medical-surgical acute care hospital experience and past teaching experience required; experience with in-service education or classroom and clinical instruction and a broad clinical base including long-term care preferred.  
  <p>
  Must possess a valid Oregon Driver's License.
  <p>
  Salary:  DOE

    <title>Webmaster/User Trainer</title>
    <description>
      <![CDATA[Klamath Community College is accepting applications for the position of Webmaster/User Trainer.  This position develops, plans, redesigns, updates, and maintains the college web site, with HRML, Java, JavaScript, C#, and ASP.NET.   Serves as liaison with staff when adding web content. Provides support and training to college staff and faculty for end user desktop software and classroom multimedia equipment.
<p>
Must be proficient in HTML, Java, JavaScript, C# and ASP.NET.
<p>
Must be knowledgeable of bandwidth saving techniques to minimize network traffic and create efficient downloading to client computers.
<p>
<b>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</b><br> 
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and two year's related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
<p>
Experience in web development tools and database development
<p>
Demonstrated experience in web development; provide samples of site work
<p>

Salary:  $42,500 DOE plus full benefits
