Associate of Science Corrections
Overview
The Corrections Specialty helps prepare students for careers in Corrections or related fields. Additionally the program is a solid foundation for further study in criminal justice and the social sciences. Students in this specialty complete a Corrections core consisting of the following classes: Correctional Institutions, Probation and Parole, Correctional Process, Correctional Casework and Correctional Administration.
Careers in corrections are expected to grow. As in most criminal justice fields applicants for Corrections positions must pass a rigorous background investigation, be in good physical health and good physical shape.
