Oregon Opportunity Grant [OOG]
The program is funded by the State of Oregon and administered by the Oregon Student
Assistance Commission. Students must meet the requirements for state residency.
Eligibility requirements:
- Students must not have a Bachelor’s degree.
- Students must be Pell Grant eligible.
- Students must have unmet need in their package.
Available amounts:
- Amounts are based on state funding.
- Community College awards for 2006-2007 were $1,323.
- For the 2007-2008 award year funding will be available on both full and part-
time enrollment.
- Award amount for 2006-07 is projected at $1,398 for full-time student.
Special information:
- Grants may be transferred to other Oregon colleges and universities.
- Grants may be awarded for up to 12 quarters/terms or for 3
semesters.
- Students must not be enrolled in a program leading to a degree in theology,
divinity, or religious education.
Scholarships are considered to be "gift aid" because there is no requirement to repay or to work in exchange for the funds.
Ron and Myrtle Mason Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
- Students must be at least ¼ Native American heritage.
- Students must be an incoming freshman or returning sophomore student
[not transfer student].
- Determined on basis of scholastic achievement, community service and tribal
service.
- Preference will be given to Ron and Myrtle Mason relatives [documented].
Available Amounts:
Masami Foods Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
- Students must demonstrate financial need through a written statement.
- Students must be a resident of Klamath or Lake County , or Modoc or
Siskiyou County, CA
- Not limited to employees or dependents of Masami Foods, Inc.
