Changes in Catalog Content
PLEASE NOTE: The information in this catalog was accurate as of the publication date. Since this is, in effect, a living document, it is subject to change as the college grows. Any additions, deletions, or corrections that may occur after its publication are part of a normal change process. Therefore, KCC encourages students to visit its website regularly for the most current information in any chosen field at www.klamathcc.edu. Students may also contact KCC at 541-882-3521 with specific questions or for clarification about programs, policies, procedures, or other information in this catalog.

College Transfer programs are for students who wish to continue their education at a four-year college or university. Students seeking transfer are encouraged to contact the university to which they intend to transfer regarding specific transfer requirements. They may transfer at any point while enrolled in the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of General Studies degree. Some professional-technical programs include courses which may be transferred. Consult a Student Services Representative or an Academic Advisor for more specific information.

Professional-Technical courses prepare students for work in specific occupational fields. Students may earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business and Management, Health Sciences, Human Services, Natural Resource Systems, and Technical Studies. These areas include specializations in Business, Information Technology, Educational Services, and Protection. Students may also earn a certificate in Business and Management: Accounting, Business and Management: Computer Information Systems, Business and Management: Management, Business and Management: Marketing/Sale, Business and Management: Office Systems Technology, Educational Services: Educational Assistant, Educational Services: Childcare Provider, Health Services: EMT, Health Services: Home Health, Health Services: Medical Office, Human Services: Criminal Justice, Human Services: Corrections, Industrial and Engineering: Welding, and Technical Studies.

Generally a degree can be earned in two years of full-time study and a certificate can be earned in one year of full-time study. If you attend part-time, take developmental education courses, or change majors, completion of your chosen program may take longer than the above suggested duration.

Developmental Education courses are designed to provide help in basic language skills writing, math, and study skills in preparation for success in academic programs. Tutorial assistance is available to all students in the Learning Resources Center.

High School Completion may be accomplished through several different programs at Klamath Adult Learning Center [KALC]. For more information see page 30 of this catalog or call KALC at 541-883-4719.
