Other Requirements
  • Candidates for the degree must earn a minimum of 90 and maximum 108 allowable credits.
  • Transfer students must be aware of the foreign language requirement for the particular college and baccalaureate degree they are seeking. For further information see a Student Services representative.
  • Developmental education courses or courses used to prepare for transfer courses do not apply to this degree but are prerequisites to degree requirements.
  • Candidates for the degree must attend KCC at least two terms and accumulate at least 30 credit hours of satisfactory work to establish residency. Of the final 12 credits, 9 must be earned at KCC. Non-traditional, challenge, or credit transferred from another institution may not be applied to the 30 credit-hour residency requirement. This requirement may not be waived.
  • Not more than 9 credits of Special Studies or Work Experience apply.
  • Not more than 3 credits of PED courses apply.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average and completion of the CAAP examination is required for graduation.
Successful pursuit of this degree requires students to possess collegiate skills in reading, communication, computation, and critical thinking. To acquire that competency, it is highly recommended that students complete precollegiate courses to gain these skills in the first terms of their program.
