College Transfer programs are for students who wish to continue their
education at a four-year college or university. Students seeking transfer are
encouraged to contact the university to which they intend to transfer regarding
specific transfer requirements. They may transfer at any point while enrolled in
the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of General Studies degree.
Some professional-technical programs include courses which may be transferred.
Consult a Student Services Representative or an Academic Advisor for more
specific information.
Professional-Technical courses prepare students for work in specific occupational
fields. Students may earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business and
Management, Health Sciences, Human Services, Natural Resource Systems, and
Technical Studies. These areas include specializations in Business, Information
Technology, Educational Services, and Protection. Students may also earn a
certificate in:
- Business and Management: Accounting, Computer Information Systems,
Management, Marketing/Sales, Office Systems Technology
- Educational Services: Educational Assistant, Childcare Provider
- Health Services: EMT, Home Health, Medical Office
- Human Services: Criminal Justice, Corrections

Generally a degree can be earned in two years of full-time study and a certificate
can be earned in one year of full-time study. If you attend part-time, take
developmental education courses, or change majors, completion of your chosen
program may take longer than the above suggested duration.
Developmental Education courses are designed to provide help in basic
language skills, writing, math, and study skills in preparation for success in academic
programs. Tutorial assistance is available to all students in the Learning Resources
Center.
