Placement Tests
Students applying for admission to a degree or certificate program, enrolling in more than six credits, or wishing to enroll in a math, writing, or language skills course, a class with a math or writing prerequisite, or entry into any program requiring assessment in writing or math, must first take a placement assessment. The results are used to determine the initial level of math, writing, or language skills at which the student demonstrates the greatest potential for success. The assessments are for placement purposes and determination of ability to profit from instruction. Placement testing is offered at the Learning Resources Center in Building 4. Call KCC at 541-880-2206 to make an appointment. Disability-related accommodations for Placement testing are considered on a case-by-case basis. To make arrangements, contact the Student Services Office at 541-882-3521.
