Your success as a student is the number one priority of Klamath Community College. With this in mind, the Financial Aid Office has listened to your feedback and comments and has taken under consideration many ideas to better serve our students in regard to your financial aid disbursements and the institution’s default management efforts. The following changes are:
Students will now be able to charge books through the second Wednesday of the term, a three-day extension from previous terms. With this extended period, it is with high hopes that a greater percentage of our student body is able to purchase the materials necessary to be successful early on into the term.
Beginning Winter Term 2014, disbursements will now occur Tuesdays at 1:30 beginning the third week of the term, with subsequent disbursements occurring weekly on Tuesdays.
These changes have been made to enhance student success by allowing additional time for students to charge their books. In addition, this also will support the institution’s default prevention efforts and allow for a more comprehensive assessment of Early Alerts.
We, as a college, strive to provide the tools and resources necessary to ensure you are able to perform effectively in all of your classes. We expect and support your success!
