KCC Offers Grant Writing Course
Businesses and non-profit organizations could benefit from enrolling one or more of their employees into a one-day grant writing workshop being offered by Klamath Community College. Part of its Community Education program, KCC will put on Grant Writing Basics Saturday, May 19, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
“The course is designed for the beginning grant writer as well as those with proposal writing experience who would like to update their skills,” said instructor Trish Seiler.
The six-hour class includes all elements of crafting a strong proposal, including funding research, introduction, needs statement, project objectives and methods, evaluation and budgeting. Time will be provided for hands-on writing and review. Participants should bring a laptop computer. The class will take place in the KCC board room inside Building 3 on campus. Space is limited, so anyone interested in taking the class should register as soon as possible. Cost is $74 per person. For more information, contact KCC at 541-882-3521
