The Culinary Department prepares students for successful careers in the Food Services industry. The Department develops the culinary skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to assume a position in a commercial food establishment. The Department also seeks to equip students to become owner/operators of food-related businesses.
In addition to providing students with training in moist/dry cookery, culinary craftsmanship, sanitation, and equipment use and safety, the Department develops student awareness of the structure and function of the global food service industry. Equipped with an understanding of the industry and their own capabilities, culinary students are well-positioned to pursue successful food service careers.
