The Natural Resource Systems Associate of Applied Science degree program is offered to students seeking employment in Natural Resource Systems occupations.

The program examines major environmental questions facing the world today.  Includes population growth, matter and energy resources, ecosystems, pollution, the environment and society.  Explores a broad range of environmental issues including sustainability, the interconnection of the economy with ecosystem, short-term versus long-term gains, and the trade-offs in balancing problems and solutions.

The Department offers educational avenues towards multiple opportunities in the natural sciences, life sciences, and engineering.

The Natural Resource Systems Environmental Sciences Department promotes an understanding of regional and global issues. Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Natural Resource Systems - Environmental Science: The Environmental Science Emphasis promotes understanding of regional and global environmental issues from a scientific perspective. Students learn an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to environmental problem solving, while gaining essential laboratory, field communication and analytical skills.
