KCC Career Assessment

Psychologist John L. Holland created a system of classifications, most commonly referred to as Holland Codes, for his career development model Holland Occupational Themes .

These codes classify personal interests into 6 broad categories (realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional). Holland also classified occupational environments with the same categories[1].

This model is often used in career development to help a person find work in a field they will enjoy[2].

KCC adapted an online Holland code career assessment quiz from the Department of Workforce Services. You can take the quiz by clicking the link below.

Please note: This is not a full, or comprehensive, tool. This survey may help you identify interests, and is intended to be used as a starting point of career exploration at KCC.
