This is a 2 part painting using acrylic based paints using 2 canvases. The first canvas is a Doe with the inside silhouette painted in a daytime scene. Wilderness Survival

Join outdoorsman, Brad Ross, in common sense ways to take care of yourself should you ever find yourself stranded in the woods. Brad provides students with ways to build fire and shelter, creation of water purification systems, as well as primitive fishing techniques - all with limited resources. He also has a list of items you should never leave home without...just in case! The first night of class is classroom format, while the Saturday class takes place in the woods. Instructor: Brad Ross. Boat Safety

This course briefly covers all aspects of recreational boating safety including: things to know about your boat and/or personal water craft; required and recommended safety equipment; things to think about before you get underway; the legal requirements of boating, and dealing with boating emergencies. This is a National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) certified course and is approved by the Oregon State Marine Board. Upon successful completion students will meet the requirements for the new mandatory education law for Oregon boaters. A three ring binder, pen and pencil are required. Registration deadline is one week prior to class - to allow for two hours of home study prior to classroom instruction.

AARP Smart Driver Training

This refresher course is offered by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). AARP members can improve their driving skills and develop defensive driving techniques in this participatory course. The course takes into consideration the physical changes of the maturing driver and ways to compensate for these changes. Most major insurance companies allow a discount on auto insurance to those drivers 55 years and older who complete this course. A certificate of completion is issued and advanced registration is required. A fee of $20 is due to the instructor on the first day of the class. AARP members receive a $5 discount when they provide their membership number on the first day of class. Class includes break for lunch. Instructor: David Carroll

Flagger & Work Zone Traffic Control

Flagger and Work Zone Traffic Control covers the fundamental principles of traffic control, the five parts of temporary traffic control zones, and regulations regarding the primary traffic control devices and their proper placement. Also, correct flagging techniques will be taught and demonstrated. This course meets the requirements of the Oregon Department of Transportation construction specifications. Students will receive a certification card, valid for three years, that verifies completion of safety training that meets ODOT requirements. Pre-registration is required. CPR for Healthcare Providers

Classroom format is ideal for those who prefer group interaction and feedback from the instructor. Student materials include adult, child and infant CPR and AED information. The American Heart Association - HEALTHCARE Providers Basic Life Support course completion care is valid for two years and is required for all healthcare providers. During the course, an AHA instructor conducts video-based lessons and works with students to complete skills practice. Satisfactory completion of a written test and skills testing are required to receive the AHA Healthcare Provider card which will be mailed to the student within 2 weeks. Instructor: Jennifer Briscoe.
