KCC Board Adds New Member
The Klamath Community College Board of Education welcomed a new member during its July 17 meeting, as Austin Folnagy joined other members in taking the oath of office and officially joined the Board. Folnagy was elected to an at-large seat on the board during the May 21 special election.

Four currently-serving KCC Board members won reelection in May and took the oath of office during the July 17 meeting as well. They are Dr. Edward McClure, Michael Fitzgerald, Brenda Frank and Al King, who were elected in Zones 1, 3, 6 and 7, respectively.
In addition to swearing in Folnagy and administering the oath of office to its members, the Board also reelected Jeff Ball as Chair for the 2013-2014 academic year and elected Brenda Frank as Vice Chair.

“I am very much looking forward to working closely with our new Board member, Mr. Folnagy, as well as our Chair and new Vice Chair,” said KCC President Dr. Roberto Gutierrez. “Brenda Frank brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and leadership to that position and will certainly play an instrumental role as KCC continues to work to build partnerships that strengthen the local community and the economy of the Klamath Basin.”

The KCC Board of Education is comprised of seven members, five members represent zones within the KCC Service District while two are elected at large.
