Frank and Nell Kuonen, of Klamath Falls, graciously donated $50,000.00 to the Klamath Community College Foundation for student scholarships at a recent KCC all-staff meeting. Frank Kuonen, a long established Klamath Falls businessman, and Nell Kuonen, a past Klamath County Commissioner and long-time political advocate, have had a long relationship with education and community development.
Nell Kuonen was once the chief campaign promoter for former President Ronald Reagan during his run for the Governor and was appointed to his staff during his presidency. The Kuonens were excited to continue their part in helping deliver higher education to Klamath County. KCC President Dr. Roberto Gutierrez, KCC Foundation Director Dr. Steven Meneses, along with the KCC Foundation Board Chair Steve Tippin welcomed this generous gift on behalf of the students of Klamath Community College.
