KCC Foundation to Host Annual Scholarship Banquet
The Klamath Community College Foundation will host its annual scholarship fundraising banquet Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013. The event, now in its fourth year, raises money to provide local students with scholarships to attend KCC. The theme for this year’s banquet is “Swinging on a Star,” with live entertainment featuring popular musical hits and comedy routines of the 1940s.
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour and silent auction. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. with entertainment to follow. This year’s event will feature a plated, prime-rib dinner with complimentary wine served in a souvenir glass and dessert.
The atmosphere is festive and most guests come dressed in formal attire. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a fun evening while helping high-achieving and financially dependent students attend college. “These scholarships are crucial to our students, many of whom wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to attend college,” said Steve Tippin, KCC Foundation Board Chair. “Last year we set a new record with the amount of money raised, and we are hoping to build on that and raise even more this year,” he said.
Tickets to this event are just $50 each and are available now by calling 541-882-3521 or stopping by Building 3 on campus at KCC. Last year’s event was a sell-out and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.
