KCC President Finalist Forums Announced

Klamath Community College will host two public forums, giving the community an opportunity to meet and ask questions of the finalists in the college’s search for its next president. The candidates, Dr. Jerome “Jerry” Migler and Dr. Roberto Gutierrez, will visit Klamath Falls Wednesday, March 21, and Friday, March 23, respectively.

The public forums will begin on those dates at 5:00 p.m. in the KCC Boardroom inside Building 3. “We anticipate that the individual who is selected will have a great impact on not only the college, but on the entire community,” said KCC Executive Director of Human Resources Karren Andrews. “As such, we want to make sure that the community is involved in the process and has an opportunity to meet and ask questions of the finalists,” she said.

Separate forums for faculty, staff, and students will be held during the morning hours of March 21 and March 23. Following the finalist forums, the Board of Education has the option of conducting site visits of the candidates’ current institutions. The Board plans to announce the next president of KCC in April.

Current KCC President Gerald Hamilton has announced his retirement effective June 30, 2012.
