Law Enforcement Exercise at KCC Friday
Law enforcement agencies from the Klamath Basin will be conducting a training exercise at Klamath Community College this Friday, June 22, 2012, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Multiple law enforcement units will be on campus during the event.
KCC is pleased to partner with local law enforcement by providing a facility for the training, which will also allow officers to familiarize themselves with the campus, better equipping them to respond in the event of an emergency at KCC.
Law enforcement personnel and equipment may be visible to passersby on South 6th Street during the training. “We want to make sure the public is aware that this is an exercise so they do not become alarmed when they see units on campus,” said KCC Campus Safety Specialist Dennis Narron. “This is a great opportunity for us to improve our own internal campus safety procedures as well.”
Building 6 will be closed for the duration of the exercise, but the rest of the campus will remain open Friday, including Student Services and other administrative services in Building 3 at KCC.
