Program description:
This 11-week course consists of classroom instruction and hands-on skills labs where students will learn how to operate power tools and machinery, read blue prints, basic rigging and knot tying, and how to perform basic construction math. In addition, students will receive specialized training in forklift operation, materials handling, and OSHA 10 safety. Students enrolled in this program will have an opportunity to earn multiple certificates accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). The NCCER is recognized by the construction industry as the training, assessment, certification, and career development standard for the construction and maintenance craft professional.
