Foundation Events

Foundation Gala: May 6, 2017 at 5:00 PM. Join us at Yesterday's Plaza.

Every year the KCC foundation puts on a fundraiser banquet to raise funds for scholarship programs benefitting students directly. This event and fundraiser plays a critical role in making college level education and professional level training affordable for KCC students.

Last year we put a new twist on the annual fundraiser and featured two professional stand-up comedians as the live entertainment. It was a massive hit with the audience! Who knew? People like to laugh! For 2017, we keep the laughter going with another comic duo provided by Michael Jenkins Comedy of Portland, two of comedy's best performers, Leif Skyving and Rick Pulido. Based on responses from last years' attendees, we are expecting a packed house this year. This is a one of a kind event for the Klamath Basin that brings together humor, fun, and community improvement.

"A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to College... 2!"will be held Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at Yesterday's Plaza in downtown Klamath Falls. Doors open at 5PM and the event officially begins at 5:30PM. Event admission includes a no-host bar, buffet dinner, wine, silent auction, and entertainment.

You can purchase tickets by calling KCC Foundation member Patti Springer at 541-880-2234 or online here:

Featuring

 Leif Skyving

Born in Sweden and raised in Los Angeles, Leif began his comedy career 23 years ago at the world famous Comedy Store in Hollywood. Since then, he's shared the stage with such great acts at Weird Al Yankovic, Howie Mandel, Paul Rodriguez, Steve Allen, and Jimmy "JJ" Walker ...among many others.

Leif has appeared on The Comedy Network's "Comedy at Club 54" and "Comedy Kitchen," "Last Comic Standing," and on ABC's "Three's Company" and "General Hospital." He can also be heard regularly on XM Radio.

Rick Pulido

Rick has one goal: get people to laugh! His Spanish and Texas accents are like a worm to a fish; they catch the audience off gaurd. His questioning nature and misuse of the English language bring the audience to hysterics.

Rick was a writer for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, took 1st prize at the Improv's Comedy Competition in Las Vegas, and has performed in numerous comedy clubs, television shows, commercials, and movies.
