Steps to Take as You Prepare for Graduation

Step 1: Check My Academic Plan and Degree Progress in MyKCC
Step 2: Meet with Your Advisor
Step 3: Petition to Graduate
Step 5: Complete Exit Counseling and Clear Any Holds
Step 6: RSVP for Commencement

You have Graduated! What to Expect Next for Your Degree and Diploma

After completing your final courses and meeting all graduation requirements, it may take up to 8 weeks after the term in which you met those requirements for your diploma or certificate to be mailed.

Update Your Address: Notify the Registrar's Office immediately if your mailing address changes. Diplomas are sent to the address listed on your graduation petition.

Important Notes:

  • If you owe money to the college or need to complete required loan exit interviews, your diploma will be held until these matters are resolved.
  • If you received Financial Aid loans, you must complete exit counseling after your final term. This can be done online at www.studentaid.gov.
