Financial Aid FAQ

Online Financial Aid Form Submission

Through the Higher Education Act of 1965, there are many forms of financial assistance available to most students wishing to further their education. These types of aid are known as Title IV funds. These forms include:

  • Federal Pell Grant (up to $7,395/year, 2023-24)
  • Federal Work-Study Program
  • Direct Stafford Subsidized Loan
  • Direct Stafford Unsubsidized Loan

There are different eligibility criteria for each type of financial assistance made available through the Higher Education Act of 1965. For the federal student aid programs, the basic eligibility criteria are:

  • Have a high school diploma, GED certificate, or proof of homeschool;
  • Be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program at an accredited institution;
  • Be registered with the Selective Service, if you are male;
  • Have a valid Social Security number;
  • Be a U.S. citizen or other eligible citizen/non-citizen;
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Federal law requires that all registered students and employees be notified about specific items related to financial aid, federal privacy laws, and related topics.
