Welcome from President Dr. Roberto Gutierrez

Dear Students,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Klamath Community College for the 2026-2027 academic year. At KCC, student success is our highest priority. Our commitment to success is illustrated through the College’s mission and core themes, which focus on foundational skill development, academic transfer, workforce training, and community education.
We strive to provide a safe and stimulating environment in which you can gain a high-quality education and experience personal growth. This catalog is your guidebook to KCC and all that we offer. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with it, and do not hesitate to ask a faculty or staff member if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to help and to ensure that your experience at KCC is positive and memorable. Your success is our success.
New programs and initiatives have expanded our academic and delivery offerings, making it easier than ever to fit college classes into your life. KCC continues to offer both in-person instruction and distance education offerings, while seeking new and innovative ways to utilize technology to better serve our students. Details on new programs, courses, and course availability can be found within this catalog.
Of note is KCC’s focus on Artificial Intelligence, which is fast shaping the future economy. AI is changing the workplace, and KCC is leading the charge to ensure students become “AI literate.” This year, KCC is offering AI classes as an elective for nearly every program of study. This will help you develop practical AI skills designed to support your career readiness in a rapidly evolving workforce.
This is one of the many ways KCC is working for your success.
Welcome to our campus. I believe your time here will be transformational for you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,

Dr. Roberto Gutierrez
President, Klamath Community College
