Transcripts

What is an Official Transcript?

Official transcripts are documents that are produced by the registrar's office. Whether issued as secure .pdf documents or printed on tamper proof security paper, official transcripts are important to third parties so that they can be assured of authenticity (originating directly from the College/University) and content accuracy. Official transcripts are issued in Landscape/Portrait format and contain the seal of the college/university and the signature of the College/University Registrar.

Transfer Equivalencies

Transfer Equivalency Tools

Klamath Community College (KCC) offers transfer equivalency tools to help you determine how your credits may transfer. We provide two main resources for students.

Transfer Equivalency Database (TES®)

KCC partners with CollegeSource's Transfer Evaluation System (TES®) to maintain a database of established course equivalencies from institutions we have previously accepted transfer credits from.

If a course is not listed in TES®, it may still be eligible for transfer. Our database is updated consistently, and all college-level coursework is evaluated upon receiving transcripts. Courses may transfer as elective credit, general education elective credit, or direct equivalents, as determined by KCC departments.

This website is for planning purposes only; course evaluations performed with this search are unofficial. This web search does not include all schools or all courses offered at a school.

Please note that 300 and 400 level courses are not eligible for articulation unless there is a direct equivalency to a specific KCC course. When credit is denied, a student may appeal for reconsideration by submitting a letter of explanation to the Registrar. If there is a question on course content, the course will be reviewed by the dean and/or faculty in that subject area.

If you have not heard from our office in six (6) weeks after we have received all your transcripts, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Transcript Evaluator at ruiz@klamathcc.edu or (541) 880-2246.

Transferology

If you are transferring between schools in Oregon, Transferology can help you track your progress toward a degree. The Course Equivalency Guides show which courses transfer, while the Degree Evaluation helps determine how transferred courses apply to degree requirements.
