CLEP Exams

What is a CLEP Exam?

CLEP tests, or College-Level Examination Program tests, are exams that let students earn college credit for knowledge they already have. These tests are created by the College Board, the same group that makes the SAT.

The exams cover a variety of subjects, like history, math, science, and languages, and are designed to match what is taught in college courses. If you pass a CLEP test, you can skip that class in college, saving both time and money.

Each test is about 90 minutes long and consists mostly of multiple-choice questions. Students can prepare by studying on their own or using CLEP study guides and resources.

CLEP is a great option for students who want to get ahead or avoid repeating material they already know. By earning CLEP credits, students can make their college experience more flexible and affordable.
