Windows S Mode – Cannot Connect to KCC WIFI
There are two known solutions to this problem.
Without Admin Account Password
1. Connect to "KCC-WIFI-Onboard"
2. Follow steps to connect to WIFI using Guest or Visitors Login
3. Repeat steps to connect to WIFI daily, as the WIFI connection will expire every 24 hours.
With Admin Account Password and Alternative WIFI
Please note: You will have to be connected to some other WIFI before you can follow the steps below. A mobile hotspot will work. These steps apply to systems running Windows 10. Research still needs to be done for systems that are running Windows 11.
1. Open "Settings" go to "Update & Security" and then "Activation"
2. Click "Go to the Store" in the "Switch to Windows 10 Home" or "Switch to Windows 10 Pro" section
3. On the "Switch out of S Mode" page, click the "Get" button
4. After switching out of S Mode, connect to "KCC-WIFI-Onboard"
5. Follow steps to connect to WIFI using "Students or Staff Login"
6. Download the certificate when prompted
7. Follow the steps it gives you to connect to "KCC-WIFI", afterwards the PC should be connected.
