Student Success Story: Lillie Hess
- Student Success Story

Lillie watched her two older siblings obtain GEDs through the K-CET program on the Klamath Community College Campus. It motivated her follow suit as a senior in high school.
“I saw that they had such an amazing experience with K-CET that I decided to get my GED, too,” she said.
“What I liked about it was that I was able to work at my own pace. But I needed to be determined, to get down and be motivated to get it done,” she said. “It taught me self-discipline. You cannot afford to be lazy and pass your tests.”
Lillie is a member of a few youth groups, so time management was an issue at first for her.
“The instructors were very helpful and watched your progress closely. They worked up a lesson plan for you and they were very motivating,” she said.
“I would recommend the GED program to others. It allows you to have a better job and attain your goals.”
