Student Clubs

KCC now has three levels of involvement for students who would like to form a recognized club/organization on campus. They are:

Associate club: Must have at least three currently registered students as active members, and designate an officer for club president. Must have a full-time faculty or exempt staff member designated as club advisor. NOT eligible for funding from student fees, but may fundraise. Encouraged to attend ASKCC general meetings, but not required.

Campus club: Must have at least five currently registered students as active members, and designate officers for club president, treasurer, and ASKCC club representative. Must have a full-time faculty or exempt staff member designated as club advisor. Eligible for funding from student fees via the budget request process, and may fundraise to supplement budget. Required to send a club rep to attend ASKCC general meetings at least once per month.

Student organization: Must have at least eight currently registered students as active members and be formally affiliated as a chapter of a national organization. Must designate officers for club president, treasurer, and ASKCC student organization representative. Must have a full-time faculty or exempt staff member designated as club advisor. Eligible for funding from student fees via the budget request process, and may fundraise to supplement budget. Required to send a student organization rep to attend ASKCC general meetings at least once per month.
