Applying to Klamath Community College
Klamath Community College (KCC) offers guaranteed admission to international students who have completed high school and meet minimum English proficiency requirements. Minimum requirement aligns with CEFR B1-B2, with B2 strongly recommended for academic programs and transfer programs.

The application process is simple and can be completed in a few steps:
Step 1 – Gather Your Documents
All students (online and in-person) must submit:
- Copy of unofficial high school transcripts
- English language proficiency documentation (if required)
Students planning to study in person (F-1 or M-1 visa) must also submit:
- KCC Financial Guarantee Form
- Oregon Certificate of Immunization Status Form
- Recent bank statement showing $24,495+ USD (dated within 6 months)
- Copy of passport bio page
Step 2 – Complete the KCC International Application
Submit your application through the KCC International Student Application portal.

Step 3 – Complete Placement Testing
Students will complete required placement exams (reading and writing) before registration.
Step 4 – Final Steps
- Submit official college transcripts (if applicable)
- Apply for a U.S. student visa (in-person students only)

Notes on Admission Requirements
International Student (In-Person)
A student who requires a Form I-20 to study in the United States. Most students will also need an F-1 visa and will be charged international tuition rates.
International Online Student
A student who resides outside the U.S. and studies fully online. Students are charged out-of-state tuition rates and do not need a visa.
High School Requirement
High school programs must be recognized or accredited by a national or regional authority. Students may apply before graduating but must complete high school before starting classes at KCC.
English Language Requirement
All courses at KCC are taught in English. Students must demonstrate sufficient English proficiency to succeed in college-level coursework.
Financial Guarantee & Bank Statement
Required by the U.S. government to issue your I-20. Bank statements must:
- Be issued within the last 6 months
- Show sufficient funds to cover one year of study
Passport Requirement
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay in the United States.
Transfer Students
Students transferring from another U.S. institution must:
- Have an active SEVIS record
- Be in good academic and immigration standing
- Submit a completed Transfer Request Form signed by a DSO
KCC may request additional documentation before approving transfer eligibility.
Additional Program Specific Requirements
Allied Health, Education, Child Care, and Athletes. Klamath Community College requires that students involved in clinical experiences in allied health programs, practicum experiences in education and child care programs, and membership on intercollegiate sports teams have two doses of measles vaccine prior to each student’s participation in those activities. The requirement applies only to those students born on or after January 1, 1957.
- If you are applying for one of these programs or plan to participate in sports, you will need to submit an Oregon Certificate of Immunization Status for Colleges & Universities. This form can be found here.
Associate of Applied Science: Aviation Airplane | Helicopter

- Students applying for an aviation program will need to submit the following documents.
- A Class 2 Medical Exam
- Two forms of ID
- Liability Waiver signed/dated/witnessed
- A Financial Guarantee for International Aviators
