Dear Current and Prospective Students,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to KCC! This is a special place where many bright and hard-working individuals – from every conceivable background in the Basin – have come to improve their lives and earn the education they never imagined possible. As many of you know, education has a way of absolutely transforming ourselves and the magical gift it brings is alive and well at KCC. I am honored to work with our students and thoroughly enjoy knowing many of you and cheering you on as you achieve your goals, sometimes to your own surprise.

My position represents a group of staff members and services at KCC that are dedicated to helping students succeed. If you have questions about registration, academic advising, or transcripts a Student Services representative is happy to assist you. Interested in finding out about Trio – a comprehensive program to assist students with significant financial or academic need succeed? Come visit the Trio office to find out more. Are you receiving Financial Aid? Then it is imperative that you get to know our Financial Aid staff and understand the steps you need to take to ensure you can finance your education. We’re all located in Building three and it is very important that you know us, and that we understand and can serve you. My door is always open to student input and ideas as well and I encourage you to connect me with me. To make an appointment, just call 541.880.2275. I look forward to the opportunity to meet and help you learn about resources to support your success in college.

Finally, you will often hear us repeat the phrase “Graduation Starts Today” at KCC and it’s important that you know that we literally mean this! Your success and ultimate degree completion is a series of small goals you will earn on a daily and weekly basis and to be successful it is incredibly important to have consistent effort, regular communication with faculty, staff and your peers, and the goal – your diploma – in sight as you move forward. We believe deeply in this concept and your success. Give it your all!

All my best to you as you achieve your dreams.
