What is Commencement?
Commencement is the annual ceremony KCC has for those who have degrees conferred during fall and winter terms or those who expect to have a degree conferred during spring or summer term.
If you submitted your petition to graduate prior to the deadline, your name will appear in the commencement program.
During the commencement ceremony you will receive your diploma cover only
Inside your diploma cover you will receive a letter explaining that final grades are needed to confirm your degree status. Your actual diploma will be mailed to you once your degree requirements have been met and after grades are in. This process can take up to 10 weeks
. You do not have to attend commencement to receive your degree or diploma cover
. If you decide not to attend the ceremony, you may pick up your diploma cover at the registrar’s office beginning Monday, June 18. You may also have your diploma cover mailed to you with your diploma.
