Program Description
Forklift safety training teaches operators how to identify and avoid workplace hazards and how to safely drive a forklift. The curriculum covers standard operating practices as well as practices tailored to each unique workplace. Training times may vary based on the number of participants, the nature of the employees' workplace, and other factors. The course includes lecture, video, in-class exercises, and an on-site forklift operation practical exam. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a forklift operator certification card.
Industry Employment Information
Forklift drivers operate industrial trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location.
