OSHA 10 General Industry

Program description:
This 10-hour OSHA course will provide the basics of occupational safety and health. The training program is intended to provide entry-level general industry workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint, as well as how to identify, abate, avoid, and prevent job-related hazards. Training topics will introduce employees to the basic practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating, and reporting hazards associated with their work. Course outcomes include increasing worker safety and helping employers decrease costs associated with accidents. The 10-hour General Industry training provides workers with knowledge about OSHA, walking/working surfaces, fall protection, emergency action plans, lockout/tagout, PPE and hazard communication. Employers choose at least two additional instructional electives.
